Litter Pick - Spring 2017

On 2 April 2017 villagers joined parish councillors for a litter-pick along the length of Hermitage Road.

Over 40 bags of rubbish were collected, along with other items such as car tyres and a car exhaust.  Bizarrely, a small safe was also recovered from the ditch and handed over to the police. The parish council hopes to arrange another litter-pick in 2018.

Your Parish Council Takes Road Safety Very Seriously

You will have spotted the ‘Check Your Speed’ posters that were previously displayed and, more recently, the safety camera that was loaned by our County Councillor, Alan Matthews. It will return to the village later in the year.

For some time now we have worked with Northamptonshire County Council Highways to provide safety measures such as the repeated ‘Right Turn’ warning signs on the A427 and the bollard markers at the entrance to Hermitage Road.
