Chedburgh Parish Council comprises 7 elected members of the community who are committed to the well-being of Chedburgh and give their time, effort and resources without financial reward. They serve and make decisions on behalf of the village and aim to keep everyone informed about important issues and on-going projects.


The Parish comprises 245 properties and an electoral roll of  499 (as at December 2009 ).

 

The Parish Council meets on the third Tuesday every other month at 7.30 p.m. in the Erskine Centre. Members of the public are welcome to attend Parish Council meetings and may, with the permission of the Chairman, make a short statement. If an important issue requires a decision by Parish Councillors, a request should be put in writing, or emailed, to the Clerk at least 10 days prior to the meeting.  Minutes of Parish Council meetings are published after they have been approved at  the following meeting.
