CHEDDAR NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN

The Parish Council is in the process of preparing a Neighbourhood Plan for Cheddar with input from all sections of the community which will give Cheddar more influence over future local developments.  Once complete it will be a legal document which builders, landowners and Sedgemoor District Council must consider with any development plans.

Following a two day consultation exhibition held in Church House in February nearly 200 questionnaires have been received from members of the public, together with several hundreds from students at The Kings of Wessex Academy. The findings from this survey and comments made at the exhibition will be published as soon as the analysis is complete.

HANNAH MORE GARDEN

The garden has been sadly neglected for several years, but we have had some major repairs carried out to the limestone walls and it now needs some TLC to clear the remaining weeds and rubbish and to choose and put in a new planting scheme.  We would like to hear from any volunteers interested in bringing the garden back to life and into use again.  Please contact the Clerk.
