CHEDDAR COMMUNITY AWARD At the April 2011 Cheddar Annual Parish Meeting the first ever Service to the Community Award was presented by the Parish Council to Mr Ray Briddle. Ray Briddle is a Clean Surroundings Operative for Sedgemoor District Council. He was given a unanimous vote by Parish Councillors to receive this award as he has always worked 'over and above' his job description in order to keep Cheddar a safe and tidy place. Cheddar Parish Council is now seeking nominations for the annual community award for 2011. Is there someone in the community who you think should be rewarded for their services? Cheddar residents are asked to consider nominating an individual who they believe has given or contributed above the beyond what would be expected for the benefit of our local community. The closing date for applications for the 2011 award will be 31st January 2012Application forms are available from the Parish Council offices: Clerk at Cheddar Parish Council, Parish Hall, Church Street, Cheddar BS27 3RA or can be downloaded: HERE For further information about the award please contact: Tel: 01934 743217 or email Clerk@CheddarParishCouncil.org
