Friday 2nd December 2011 saw another great Festive Evening in Cheddar Village and Gorge, with a number of events and attractions throughout the picturesque settings of Cheddar Village and the spectacular Cheddar Gorge. Many people stepped out into the cold winter evening to enjoy the festive atmosphere and entertainment while taking advantage of the late night shopping at a number of unique businesses throughout the village....

Plans are already underway for the 2012 Festive Evening which will be held on Friday 7th December. We would be very pleased  to hear from anyone who may like to assist with the evening. You may have suggestions for entertainment or you may be able to offer your services to help organise the event. Anyone interested in having a market stall on the night in Cliff Street Car Park should also contact Caroline for further details and to reserve a spot.

The competition which is held in December is open to all residents living within the Village of Cheddar. A perpetual Challenge Cup donated by the Rotary Club of Mendip is awarded for the residential property judged to be the best externally decorated and illuminated.
