WORLD WAR 1 COMMEMORATION 2nd-3rd August

Cheddar is marking the start of the First World War with a special exhibition and civic service.

CIVIC SERVICE

St Andrew's Parish Church, 3.00pm, Sunday 3rd August

The service will be conducted by the Reverend Sue Rose.  All residents and visitors are invited. Light refreshments will be provided in Church House after the service.

ANNUAL PARISH MEETING 2014

The annual Parish Meeting was held on Thursday 17th April at Fairlands Middle School

Guest speaker Linda Wiilson of the Charterhouse Caving Company gave a very interesting presentation on the cavers' work clearing and repairing blocked water courses at Black Rock to solve the problem of flooding in Cheddar Gorge last winter.

Chairman Lyn Goodfellow reported on the work of the Parish Council over the past year and then presented awards for service to the community to Ilona Bellion, Dulcie Dibley, Pat Gardner, Anne Langford, Mary Ware and the Charterhouse Caving Company.
