· Hagbourne Hill from Chilton Village to Chilton Road reopens to traffic on 22 December 2015
· Work on the roundabout on the A417 continues with a signed diversion for drivers (as detailed in the attached document)
Work on a section of Hagbourne Hill will be completed on 22 December 2015. The section from Chilton Village through to Upton Village will be open to all traffic from Tuesday afternoon.
The work has involved lowering the crest of the hill, diverting utilities, improving the drainage along the road, reshaping the embankments in order to improve the visibility for the road users and traffic calming measures have been added along Chilton Road. The first phase of the project has been completed earlier than anticipated.
Work is still continuing to construct a roundabout on A417 which requires a closure to the northern section of Hagbourne Hill between Chilton Road and the A417. Drivers using Hagbourne Hill will be required to follow a short diversion as per the attached PDF.
