30 October 2017Fireworks Display
The annual Ayton Jubilee Committee fireworks display will take place at Low Yedmandale Farm Yedmandale Road, West Ayton, YO13 9JZ. There will be refreshments available to purchase throughout the evening and the fireworks display will commence at 7pm.
Ensure you arrive for 6.30 to get your ringside seats!
30 October 2017Village Meeting
A public meeting will be held on Friday, 10 November 2017 at 7pm in the large room with Mr Morton of KCS Developments to discuss the proposal to build properties north of Racecourse Road and east of The Nurseries (referred to as HA31 within the Scarborough Borough Local Plan. The Borough Local Plan states the area is 3.58ha and can give an indicative yield of 40 homes).
Mr Morton has informed the Parish Council that he will contact the neighbouring properties to advise them of the meeting.
Please could you let as many interested residents as possible know of this meeting in good time so they are able to attend if they wish - thank you.
30 October 2017Bin Collection Information
The Parish Council Community Calendar has reminders of which bin is ready for collection; as collections can take place early in the day, you are advised to place your bin out the night before or if that is not possible, by 6am the morning of collection.
NB - The last brown bin (garden waste) collection of 2017 will be on 24 November 2017
It will be greatly appreciated if you can take in your bins as soon as feasibly possible after collection to ensure easy access to pavements - thank you.
21 October 2017The Herbert Protocol
North yorkshire Police have "The Herbert Protocol" which is an initiative to safeguard those with dementia.
It involves a form that is filled in with personal details of favourite places and is kept by family members until the dementia sufferer goes missing - then the information is used to help the Police to trace them and return them home safely.
