Poors Charity 

    The Poors Field in Enborne.

The Objects of the Charity are:

"...the trustees should let the allotment or any part thereof for any term not exceeding 21 years, and that rents should be laid out in purchasing fuel, which should be distributed amongst the poor inhabitants of the parish legally settled and resident therein, in such shares and proportions, at such times in every year, and according to such regulations at the trustees should prescribe: and that so much as was not so leased should be used and enjoyed solely and exclusively by such poor inhabitants either as a common of pasture or turbary, or should be appropriated by the trustees for the purpose of sowing furze, planting wood, and of cutting fuel, which fuel should be similarly distributed..."
