You are invited to attend a
to be held in
Harting Community Hall on Thursday 19th October @ 7.30pm
This meeting has been convened to consider the Pre-Submission consultation on the South Downs National Park Authority’s Local Plan. The consultation runs from 26th September to 21st November. Anyone with an interest in commenting on what is proposed can make a representation to the SDNPA.
When adopted in 2018, this will be the first Local Plan to cover the entire South Downs National Park. It sets out 96 policies which will be used to determine planning applications in the National Park over the fifteen years from 2018 to 2033. The Plan includes allocations of land for development in a number of settlements; in the case of South Harting two land allocations are now proposed, one opposite Smithfield and the other in New Lane.
The meeting on the 19th October has been called to provide residents with information. It will also ensure that Harting Parish Council is aware of local feelings, enabling them to reflect those feelings in their submission to the SDNPA. Anyone interested will benefit from studying the documents before the meeting: paper copies can be consulted in Petersfield library or in the SDNPA’s offices in Midhurst and they can be accessed via the SDNPA website
Please bring the meeting to the attention of other residents.
