The Council is sad to inform everyone that Mrs Thompson has resigned from her positions in public life for the residents of Heddon. Mrs Thompson says that is she is now over eighty and has been on the Council for over 25 years it is time for a rest. The Council would like to thank her for all of her hard work over the years.
Should it be decided to Co-opt/elect another councillor then this exercise will take place after the CO-vid 15 lockdown.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
Pursuant to section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972, that Mrs. H. Thompson formerly a Member of the above named Parish Council, has ceased to be a Member of the Parish Council, and that a vacancy now exists in the office of Councillor for the Parish.
If, within 14 days (*) after the date of this notice (i.e. no later than 06/05/2020), a request for an election to fill the vacancy is made to The Returning Officer, Elections Office, Northumberland County Council, County Hall, Morpeth, NE61 2EF by TEN electors for the Parish (Ward), an election will be held to fill the vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.
