LITTLE HARROWDEN PARISH.Little Harrowden is in Northamptonshire; approx 3 miles north west of Wellingborough, off the A509. (For location click on map on this page) It s one of the longest and narrowest parishes in Northamptonshire built around the Church of St Mary the Virgin which dates back to around 1190. The local primary school has been established for approx. 350 years acting with the village hall as focal points in the life of the village. The school web site www.littleharrowden.org.uk/ Like most villages in Northamptonshire, Little Harrowden used to have it's share of local industries and crafts i.e. shoes,etc. However it is now mainly what is called a commuter village for the larger towns of Kettering, Wellingborough, Corby and Northampton. The Parish has a population of approx. 800-900 covering land use ranging from industrial in the east to farming in the west. The Parish Council normally meets in the village hall on the second wednesday of the month (7.30pm) The two exceptions are August and December when there are no meetings.
