Welcome to the website of Sedgwick Parish Council

Sedgwick is a small village with about 350 residents, located 4 miles south of Kendal in Cumbria. We no longer have From the Aqueducta pub or post office, but we do have a thriving village hall, which is the venue for many of the local groups and organisations that flourish within our community.  Less than a mile away at Crosscrake, there is an Anglican church (St Thomas’) that serves our village. There is also a school (St Thomas' Church of England Primary). The now dry Lancaster canal runs through our village and the River Kent forms the western boundary of it.  There are pleasant walks along the line of the old canal, by the river, through woods and across farmland.
