Potential Library Closures
The link below takes you to the public consultation document produced by Somerset County Council entitled "A Library Service for Somerset" giving details of its proprosed reduction to library services and ways in which members of the public "can contribute to the debate about libraries before the final budget decisions are made in."
"Six public consultation sessions are being held during January. You can drop in at any time during the sessions to get more information, to speak to staff or to give your views."
The nearest session to Walton will take place, 9.00 am to 12.00 pm: Glastonbury Town Hall.
There is also an online survey/questionnaire that you can complete to make your views known. This can be found at the following link:
The Save Somerset's Libraries Campaign would like to ask if you would be willing to sign
The Save Somerset's Libraries petition
for which a minimum of 5,000 signatures is required to ensure that Somerset County Council arranges a full council debate about the issues.
