MENDIP DISTRICT LOCAL PLAN 2006-2028

PART I: STRATEGY AND POLICIES  FORMERLY KNOWN AS THE LOCAL DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK CORE STRATEGY

Mendip District Council has now published its Pre-Submission Draft Local Plan which sets out
how much and where new development will be focused in the future as well as a range of
measures to safeguard the quality and character of the area whilst promoting the provision of
jobs, services and infrastructure that the area needs up to 2028.

Public consultation on the Local Plan and its supporting documents will run from 29th
November 2012 to 24th January 2013. Matters arising from Consultation will be considered by
a Planning Inspector in mid 2013 at a Public Examination.

You can view the documents and make representations about parts of the plan (or any
supporting documents) on a specific Response Form via www.mendip.gov.uk on the ‘Time to
Plan’ page or at the Council’s Access Points which are listed below
