Report from the police:

The Police have this afternoon have attended a report of a theft of handbag, which has been taken from a vehicle which was parked outside the front of Walton Parish Church.

This is a reminder to make sure that any valuables are taken out of a vehicle before you leave it and that if anyone witnessed this crime take place this afternoon, we ask that they call police on the 101 number and tell the call taker exactly what you saw.

I want to re-assure you all that Walton continues to be a safe place to live, with very little crime and has regular Police patrols. The Police will continue with these patrols and will keep checking the area at various times of the day or night. Any suspicious activity should be reported immediately to Police as and when it happens.

I am hoping this incident is a one off but ask you all to remain vigilant and call Police if you need to.

Kind regards
