The application for a waste transfer station at Dimmer was approved at the regulation committee meeting in Taunton on Thursday 11th June.

Ansford Parish Council, who had members attending the meeting, spoke strongly against the proposal and the impact that it will have on our parish, especially our residents in Clanville who will have to suffer the imposition of the increased hazards from traffic on roads that are narrow and have no pavements or provision for pedestrians.

The decision went against us, four votes to three, despite the many local voices speaking out against it.
