STOP PRESS: Councillor vacancies -
Cheddar Parish Council has two vacancies to be filled by co-option.
 
To be qualified to stand for co-option persons must be a Commonwealth citizen, or citizen of the Republic of Ireland, or a citizen of another Member State of the European Community, and be aged 18 years or over.
 
To be eligible for co-option as a Parish Councillor an applicant must:-
  • be an elector of the parish, or
  • during the whole of the last 12 months have occupied as owner or tenant land or other premises in the parish, or
  • live within 4.8 kilometres (three miles) of the parish boundary
If you would be interested in becoming a councillor please send a brief synopsis about yourself, giving reasons for wishing to be a councillor, with previous community/council work or other skills that you can bring to the council, career, interests, etc. to the Clerk, The Parish Hall, Church Street, Cheddar BS27 3RA
