Sending a message/post via Facebook or online community sites will not be considered as contacting the Parish Council for official purposes and the Council will not be obliged to monitor or respond to requests for information through the Facebook channel. ADVICE ON ANONYMOUS COMMUNICATIONS
Due caution must always be exercised when reacting to anonymous communications which appear to be malicious, potentially libellous or of an extremely personal nature. Lynemouth Parish Council will not consider anonymous letters where no name, address or identifying factors are given, unless there is corroborating evidence, and the Parish Council expressly reserves the right to take no action unless the communication alleges significant health & safety issues or a criminal offence and where there exists supporting information which suggests the allegation can be substantiated.
