The Parish Council owns and manages the following land:

  • Description: Lynemouth Dene (18.4 acres). Date of acquisiton: 1994. Cost of acquisition: Estimated £100 per acre derelict land value. Present use: a community amenity [contains restrictive covenants]. Land Registry title no. ND87812.
  • Description: Land lying to the west of Coronation Terrace [Barron's Walk]. Date of acquisiton: 1994. Cost of acquisition: Estimated £100 per acre derelict land value. Present use: a community amenity named in honour of Mr William Sidney Barron, Parish Clerk 1980-1996. Land Registry title no. ND102608.
  • Description: The allotment site (17.20 acres) located off Fenham Road.  Date of acquisiton: 1995. Cost of acquisition: £11,000. Present use: Horticultural (garden) allotments and designated equine (horse) plots.
  • Description: Land at Boland Road. Date of acquisition: 1961. Cost of acquisition: £3,000. Present use: originally donated for a children’s playground [undeveloped land value]. 
  • Description: Land formerly occupied by the scout hut. Date of acquisition: Not known. Cost of acquisition: £4,250. Present use: a community amenity. Land Registry title no. ND102608.
  • Description: Woodland lying south-west of 16 Sea View [behind the mining memorial on Bridge Road]. Date of acquisiton: 1999. Cost of acquisition: £10,000. Present use: a community amenity woodland sometimes known as 'Tankey Wood' because the old 'Tankey' engine (train) went over the road along the line of the woodland [contains restrictive covenants]. Land Registry title no. ND174508.
