THE PARISH COUNCIL has unanimously approved the request by Lynemouth Recreation Ground (LRG) Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) for a grant of £15,000 funding towards the purchase and installation of playground equipment for younger children [under 8 years], which has long been an issue within the community. It was also unanimously agreed to support in principle, namely that the Parish Council is "minded to look at", funding towards ongoing annual maintenance costs of the new playground equipment. KOMPAN is the preferred supplier and funding is being sought/secured from the following sources:
Northumberland County Council Local Member: £10,000
Lynemouth Parish Council: £15,000
CELL Big Local: £30,000
Lynemouth Recreation Ground (LRG): £5,000.
This project has been taken forward by the LRG Committee with the approval of the Coal Industry Social Welfare Organisation (CISWO).
