No Petticoats Here

Neasham Reading Room in conjunction with Rural Arts present:

Louise Jordan in No Petticoats Here - Thu 24th November

"ABSOLUTELY TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY BRILLIANT" - Mike Harding, BBC Radio 2

Award winning singer, songwriter and musician Louise Jordan brings these extraordinary stories to life through a combination of thought-provoking songs, diary extracts, anecdotes and choruses you'll be singing on your way home.

How was one woman able to join the British Expeditionary Force and fight on the Western Front? What were conditions really like for women making the weapons of war? Who were the two million surplus women? What became of the female spy working for the British in German occupied France?

This show is advertised throughout the North East via the Rural Arts website so we expect demand for tickets to be high.  This is a chance for local residents to book early to avoid disappointment.  We will not be issuing physical tickets, but payment in advance secures your reservation confirmation.

Tickets: £6 – payment in advance only – no tickets on the door
