New Cemetery

St Tudy Parish Council have been donated a plot of land by a kind-hearted resident whose family have been in and around the Parish of St. Tudy for a long time. This was given for the purpose of developing a new cemetery since the church cemetery is almost full. The parish council have voted to run the new cemetery under The Local Authorities' Cemeteries Order 1977 rather than under the auspices of the church.

This page has been put on the parish council's website to collect and disseminate information on establishing the new cemetery.

Work on the site is due to start in July 2023 and will include the fencing off of the first part of the buriel area from the public footpath. The Parish Council is currently intending to develop the first half of the cemetery plot nearest the current cemetery, as plans for the remaining area are finalised. The route of the footpath must be maintained and this interactive map avaialble on the Cornwall Council website: www.cornwall.gov.uk/environment/countryside/public-rights-of-way-mapping/
