Local Electoral Roles
Northumberland County Council’s Elections Office is recruiting for the elections that take place on 6 May. Available roles include.
Polling Station Staff across Northumberland.
Postal Vote Opening Staff, with all sessions taking place at Blyth Sports Centre on;
Tuesday 27th April, 10am till finish
Wednesday 28th April, 10am till finish
Friday 30th April, 10am till finish
Tuesday 4th May, 10am till finish
Wednesday 5th May, 10am till finish
Thursday 6th May, day 12noon till 6pm & evening 7pm till finish.
Above time are subject to change.
Verification and Count Staff, with all sessions taking place at Blyth Sports Centre on;
Thursday 6th May, commencing at 10pm till finish
Friday 7th May, day. Time to be confirmed
Saturday 8th May, day. Time to be confirmed
Job descriptions for available roles are attached to this email. If you wish to apply, please complete the electronic application form which can be found by link below. Alternatively, paper applications are available on request by contacting the Elections Office. Following the submission of the electronic application form, you will receive a confirmation email and you may be required to provide right to work documentation if you have not already done so.

Please note that Public Health for England guidance on Covid 19 will be adhered to at this election and you may be required to use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) which will be provided where it is deemed necessary.
