The Parish
The Parish of Rodney Stoke covers the two villages of Draycott and Rodney Stoke which border the Mendip Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
The Parish Council is made up of 11 voluntary councillors who stand for election every four years. Councillors meet every other month to discuss local issues and to decide further action.
As elected bodies, Parish Councils are responsible to the community they represent and councillors adhere to the code of conduct when they represent the Council.
Anyone is welcome to attend Parish Council meetings and is invited to contribute at the beginning of each session. After this session has finished, the public must not take any further part in the meeting except with the express permission of the Chairman, but may stay to observe the council in session.
