Arncott Parish Council

Welcome to the Arncott Parish Council Website

Arncott Parish Council meetings are scheduled to be held on the first Tuesday in the months of January, May, July and October in Arncott Village Hall. Meetings will commence at 7:30pm unless otherwise stated. Additional meetings in between the four scheduled meetings can and will be convened as and when necessary

On this website you can find out all the things that are happening in the village along with many parish council matters. As this page grows we'll be adding more content. If there is any information you find on here that is incorrect, please let us know. If there is something you feel is missing or would like included, again, please let us know.

In the meantime, if you wish to contact the parish council, then feel free come along to the meetings where we have public participation at the end of the meeting. These meetings are held in the village hall between 7.30pm and 9.30pm. If you'd like something brought up in the parish council meeting, then please feel free to email us.

The parish council is made up of volunteers who give their time and effort freely. If you contact us outside of the meetings we will endeavour to reply to you as soon as we can but sometimes our day jobs will get in the way! Parish council meeting minutes can be found in the Library section.

Bin Collection
Bin collection days in the village are on a Wednesday. The bins are collected on alternate weeks with green bins one week and brown and blue the following week. More information can be found on the Cherwell District Councils website.

To report a missed bin, please see this link at CDC.

Bus Timetables
The S5 goes through the village regularly. The latest timetable can be found here.

Local Policing
If you have any information about any crimes around our village, then you can always call 101 or email the Bicester Rural policing team. You can also visit their website for more details here.

Village Maintenance
Maintenance within the village is carried out when necessary. There are certain things that we as a parish council will deal with, but in general, things like street lighting, fly-tipping, abandoned cars, street signs, road markings, potholes, plus a whole host of other things; these are likely to be dealt with by Oxfordshire County Council. We have no special way of contacting them. All issues that we report to them go via the Fix My Street website. By going to that site you can easily see how many issues have been reported and how many have been fixed over the years. If you see anything that needs dealing with, please go to that site, and report it as it will go directly to the correct council and the correct department. Contacting us, although there is nothing wrong with that, is just another step that will delay things as it may be several days before we get around to logging the problem through the same site. Many of the green areas, many of the trees, some bushes, bins, benches, bus stops, most play areas, etc., are things we deal with so please contact us as necessary.

Arncott Moto Park
Arncott Moto Park publishes their public calendar (bottom of the page) so you can see their upcoming events and schedule changes.
