Hargrave Parish Council (Northamptonshire)
Hargarve Parish Council is made up of residents who have put themselves forward for election (or occasionally co-option). They have put themselves forward because they want to improve our parish and they are prepared to make decisions for our community.
Parish Councils are statutory bodies, created and governed by acts of Parliament. They are not connected to the church or to the Parochial Church Council.

Hargrave Neighbourhood Plan
Hargrave Neighbourhood Plan was subject to a referendum on 30th June 2022. The question asked was:
"Do you want North Northamptonshire Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Hargrave to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"
The vote was in favour of the Neighbourhood Plan. The declaration of the result of the poll can be downloaded and viewed from the link below

Tell the Police what they should focus on

Public Rights of Way
Broadly speaking, Northamptonshire Highways are responsible for the surface being appropriate for the level of public access, also for upgrowth and bridges.
The landowner is responsible for side growth and for trees. However there are exceptions to the above depending on the situation. For instance, if upgrowth is a crop, then it is the landowners responsibility to keep the Right of Way clear.
If there is a fallen tree, or any specific concerns, please let Northants Highways know the exact details and location so that they can clearly identify who is responsible. Ideally report it via Streetdoctor on their website if possible.

Street Lights
All of the street lamps in Hargrave are owned by the Parish Council. We are working to ensure they are all labelled with an identifying number so that it is easier to track faults and repairs.
If you notice that a street light in Hargrave is not working, please report to the parish clerk, preferably via email, and include the street name and column number.
