LYNEMOUTH BEACH - CONSTRUCTION WORKS

THE PARISH COUNCIL has received a copy of the general arrangement drawings for the construction works at Lynemouth Beach - C110 - Lynemouth To Cresswell Road. These are available on the planning portal but can be forwarded by email on request.

Apparently, the intention is to set up a compound within the Coal Authority site south of the Lyne. Access to the compound will be off Park Road, on the approach to Lynemouth (from the south). This access is suitable for heavy traffic, already serving the caravan storage facility and Coal Authority. From this compound, it is intended to create temporary ramps down onto and off the beach to access the various working locations. This will remove the need for construction traffic to pass through either Lynemouth or Cresswell and means traffic is not being added on the C110 between Cresswell and Lynemouth. Pedestrians will be diverted around the working areas and the path alongside the C110 will remain open.
