The next full Parish Council Meeting will be held on Wednesday 19th May 2021 at 7:30pm. A copy of the Agenda will be available to view here the week before.
The Annual Parish Meeting will be held on the same evening at 6:30pm, when the local groups and charities will be presenting their annual updates, along with the annual review from the Parish Council.
There will be an Extraordinary Meeting held on Wednesday 7th April to discuss a planning application and one item of business. An agenda is available to view here.
In view of the current Covid-19 restrictions all meetings will be held via Zoom. The |Meeting ID and Password can be found at the top of the Agenda.

If you would like to sign up to the village circulation list, which means you will receive news items that affect the village. Please send an e-mail to the Clerk.
You can find all the Council's documents e.g. agendas, minutes, financial statements, policies, etc. on the 'Library' page in the Menu.
Agendas are issued 3 clear working days prior to meetings, usually on the preceeding Thursday. Copies are posted on the 'Library' page in the menu, noticeboards on the Village Green and Whilton Locks as well as the village website http://www.whilton-village.net/parish-council/notices/
Members of the public are welcome to attend meetings and have an opportunity to address council on agenda items, for no longer than 3 minutes. The period of time for public participation, which is at the Chairman’s discretion, shall not exceed 10 minutes. In accordance with the above, a question asked by a member of the public during a public participation session, shall not require a response or debate. The Chairman may direct that a response to a question posed by a member of the public be referred to a Councillor for an oral response or to the Clerk for a written or oral response.

May 2021 Elections – Your chance to join!
It is anticipated that the elections for the Parish Council will take place in May 2021 and the nomination forms will be available from the Clerk in early March.
You must be willing to fully participate in our meetings, which are held bi-monthly (2nd Wednesday of the month) and have time to spare to carry out some duties in between meetings.
Eligibility to become a Parish Councillor (one of the following):
(a) is registered as a local government elector for the parish; or
(b) or has during the whole of the preceding twelve months occupied as owner or tenant, any land or premises in the parish; or
(c) his/her principal or only place of work during the preceding twelve months has been in the parish; or
(d) had during the whole of the preceding twelve months resided in the parish or within 4.8 km thereof.
If you are interested or would like to see what the Parish Council does, all of our meetings are open to members of the public over Zoom, in the current Covid-19 crisis.
