SOUTH WARWICKSHIRE LOCAL PLAN
The South Warwickshire Local Plan Preferred Options Consultation is now live and will run for a period of 8 weeks, until 11:59pm on Friday 7th March
Residents, businesses and other stakeholders are now invited to have their say on the Preferred Options version of the South Warwickshire Local Plan (2050) for the combined areas of Warwick and Stratford-on-Avon District Councils for the next 25 years.
The consultation document and accompanying materials are all available to view on the South Warwickshire Local Plan Website.

'SAVE OUR SHIPSTON' CAMPAIGN
Many local residents, shocked by the sheer scale of the plans, started researching the consultation on behalf of Shipston and the surrounding villages within South Warwickshire. They realised there was very little awareness of the consultation.
There are attempts to improve the situation with a series of activities:
The launch of a Facebook site: Say No to additional 1600 + houses
Instagram: Save Our Shipston
Advice on how to respond to the Consultation: on-line, by Comment Form or by email, using 3 printed “Step Guides”, along with a guide covering the type of comments they should consider as part of the response process.
HOW TO RESPOND TO THE CONSULTATION
Four “Drop In” sessions to take place in Shipston on Friday 21st February: 15.30-19.30,
Saturday 22nd February: 10.30-16.00,
Wednesday 26th February: 15.30-19.30 and hopefully Saturday 1st March: 10.30-16.00.
These will be held outside of the White Bear where they will be handing out leaflets and comment forms. If people would like more help with their on-line response, there will be two people in a room at the back of The White Bear to advise them personally.
