VACANCIES

WE HAVE FIVE COMMUNITY COUNCILLOR VACANCIES - PLEASE CONTACT THE CLERK FOR DETAILS

Gristhorpe is a Village between Scarborough and Filey accessed off the A165 and it has a population of approximately 400 residents.

The Village has a quaint church in the Church of St Thomas; is part of the Cleveland Way and until February 1959, when it closed, had a railway station which was part of the Yorkshire Coast Line from Hull to Scarborough.

Lebberston is also a Village approximately 4 miles outside Scarborough and is accessed off the A165; has a population of approximately 185 residents. The Village has a public house, a holiday park, golf course and a regular outdoor Sunday market/car boot sale which takes place between March and September each year.

For both areas, the predominant business is farming, campsites and touring/static caravans.

The two Villages join together to form one Community Council, Gristhorpe & Lebberston; the Council meets on a monthly basis at Gristhorpe Village Hall.

The Clerk to the Council can be contacted by clicking here or by writing to Dawn Naylor, 26 Ings Close, Staxton, YO12 4ST or by emailing gristhorpe.lebbpc1@btinternet.com
