How is the number of Councillors per Parish determined?
An order was made by central government in 1955 for all parishes.
It was determined that Hepple should have 5 councillors, when the population was about 180.
Current population is about 150.
Since then Flotterton has been added but that is unlikely to require an increase in councillors.
The County Council could be asked to increase the numbers but that would require extensive consultation.
