NOTICE OF AMENDMENT TO THE REGISTER OF VILLAGE GREEN (VG 53), KNOWN AS HURWORTH VILLAGE GREEN
This Notice is published on the Council's website and served by email on those persons who have requested notification and served on other persons required to be so notified under Regulations 23 and 37 of The Commons Registration (England) Regulations 2008.
A proposal was made by the Registration Authority, the Darlington Borough Council, Town Hall, Darlington DL1 5QT ('the Registration Authority') under Regulation 18 of The Commons Registration (England) Regulations 2008 ('the Regulations').
The proposal sought under Section 19 of the Commons Act 2006 to correct and update the relevant entry in the ownership section of VG53 to the effect that the interest of the Rector of Hurworth relates purely to the mines and minerals rights. The freehold owner of the VG is unknown. Hurworth Parish Council is the custodian and manager of the VG by virtue of Section 6 of the Local Government Act 1894
Notice of the proposal was served and no representations or objections to the notice were made and as such the register has been amended. A copy of the amended ownership section of the register is attached.
