07 February 2020Raywind Farm - Community Network Meeting
The Ray Wind Farm, operated by Vattenfall, sits on the Ray Estate in Northumberland. For every year of the wind farm’s 25 year working life Vattenfall will donate money to the rural communities that fall within its defined catchment, largely the parishes of Bavington, Birtley, Corsenside, Elsdon, Kirkwhelpington, Otterburn, Rothley and Wallington, or within 10km of the Wind Farm – the donation is more than £250,000 per year. A map of the catchment area can be viewed at www.raywindfund.co.uk The Ray Wind Funds undertook a community survey prior to the commencement and targeted their grants to meet the criteria identified by the survey. However we need to bring this up to date to reflect the ideas and ambitions of the residents within our catchment area.
YOU ARE INVITED TO ATTEND OUR FIRST COMMUNITY NETWORK MEETING
Thursday 5th March at 7pm in Corsenside Parish Hall
A light buffet, wine and other beverages will be supplied. All you need to bring is your enthusiasm, ideas and willingness to take part in informal discussions. The Funds aim to meet the needs of the community and to do that we need to listen to you.
