Great Wall of Spring Lane !

Residents of Spring Lane Littlemore are furious at the "the monstrosity which Oxford City Council Planning has allowed to be built opposite century-old residential housing." City Council was unavailable for comment.

Community Hub Gets Better!

Littlemore's Giles Road Community Centre is already benefitting from investment in major refurbishment by registered charity Littlemore Community Association, in co-operation with Oxford Cty Council.

The independent Charity and its Trustees (all local people) manages the Centre on behalf, and for the benefit of people of all ages in the local community. Unlike some venues, the Centre is managed under a formal Constituion, approved by the Charity Commission of England & Wales, and the Community Association is neither politically or faith aligned. 

Recent additions to Centre facilities at Giles Road include WiFi throught, plus audio-visual provision in the Conference suite - which is also used by AgeUk for IT training courses. New regular user-groups which have moved to the Centre include Littlemore Youth Clubs and Hands-on Social Group, together with Martial Arts Classes now using the Centre twice-weekly.
