Neighbourhood Plan

The Chilton Neighbourhood Plan has recently been submitted to Vale of White Horse District Council following the initial consultation and subsequent amendments.

You can view the neighbourhood plan and supporting documents on the Chilton Neighbourhood Plan page on the Vale of White Horse  website https://www.whitehorsedc.gov.uk/vale-of-white-horse-district-council/planning-and-development/local-plan-and-planning-policies/neighbourhood-plans/emerging-neighbourhood-plans/chilton-neighbourhood-plan/

The Vale of White Horse is now carrying out a final consultation which runs from Wednesday 17 February until midnight on Wednesday 7 April 2021. We would like to invite your comments on the submitted neighbourhood plan and supporting documents.

Paper copies of the document are available to view by appointment only. Please contact Stephen Druce by emailing chiltonplan@gmail.com or by calling 01235 834285 to arrange to view the documents.

If you know anyone you think would be interested in this consultation, who is shielding or does not have access to the internet, we would appreciate your help in telling them about it. Please ask them to call us on 01235 422425 or email haveyoursay@southandvale.gov.uk to discuss the proposals and get support to access the consultation materials.

How to comment

The quickest and easiest way to comment is by using the Vale of White Horse online comment form available here public link to the survey.https://survey.southandvale.gov.uk/s/ChiltonNP/

Comments can also be made by:

emailing planning.policy@whitehorsedc.gov.uk

writing to Planning Policy, Vale of White Horse District Council at the following address: 135 Eastern Avenue, Milton Park, Milton, OX14 4SB

completing a comment form (available on request to The Vale of White Horse) and posting or emailing it back to them.

Next steps

After the publicity period ends, The Vale of White Horse will send your response to an independent examiner to consider. As the neighbourhood planning process includes an independent examination of the plan, your name, postal address and email address (where applicable) are required for your comments to be considered by the examiner. The opportunity for further comments at this stage would only be at the specific request of the examiner.
Most neighbourhood plans are examined without the need for a public hearing. If you think the neighbourhood plan requires a public hearing, you can state this in your comments, but the examiner will make the final decision.

Please clearly state in your comments if you wish to be notified of our decision on whether we formally adopt the neighbourhood plan.

Thank you in advance for your participation.
