The Parish Council is aiming to set up a Working Party to deal with issues relating to Climate and the Environment.

This would be separate from the Parish Council, but would be able to draw on support when necessary, and report back on any ideas and initiatives.

Matters being looked at elsewhere on the Island which could be considered for Shorwell:

Tree & Shrub Planting & Hedging.

Re-wilding/ Working with landowners to manage land for wildlife.

Improving footpaths and cycling opportunities.

Car Sharing/ Improving and sustaining rural bus services.

"Buy Local " initiatives.
