Proposed Community Lunches.

It has been suggested that these could run for local residents during the winter months to assist with cost of living increases and to provide additional social contact.

These could be run in the Village Hall on a fortnightly/monthly basis, and the costs would be subsidised by Shorwell Parish Council.

A Committee of volunteers would be needed to organise the practical aspects like catering, purchasing and transport.

The Parish Council would like to hear from those who would be able to assist in any way, or who have any suggestions on how this scheme could be developed.

It would also be useful to hear from those who would be interested in attending these lunches so that the extent of the likely demand can be gauged.
