Corsenside Parish Council Annual Parish Meeting

Minutes of the meeting held on Monday 15th of May 2023

Present:  Councillors: C. Hamilton (Chair), C. Hawman (Vice- Chair), S. Smith, D. Mole, D, Anderson, A. Wilson & K. Traill.  Clerk: C. Woodcock.  Members of the Public: One.

 

 

  1. Opening Remarks. Cllr C Hamilton welcomed all to the meeting.

 

  1. Apologies for absence. None

 

  1. Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held on Monday 9th of May 2022. Last year’s meeting minutes were signed as true and accurate in July 2022 and recirculated prior to the meeting.
     
  2. Matters arising from the minutes held on Monday 9th of May 2022. None arising.

 

  1. CPC Chairman’s Report. A detailed report was read by Cllr C Hamilton. No questions were posed. Cllr C Hawman expressed her thanks to the Chair for the time, knowledge and patience put into his work for the Parish Council.

 

  1. Corsenside Parish Hall Committee. Report delivered by John Clyde who took questions about the solar panels. It is hoped that all of the lighting costs and some of the heating costs will be covered by solar energy should they be installed. Many Cllrs commented on the improvements to the building.

 

  1. Ridsdale Village Hall Fund. Report statement read aloud. No questions.

 

  1. Mission Hall Trust. Report statement read aloud. No questions.

 

  1. The Corsenside Parish Show. Report statement read aloud. No questions.

 

  1. Ridsdale Junior & Senior Citizens Fund. Received as part of the Ridsdale Community Group report.

 

  1. Parochial Church Council. None received.

 

  1. The Ridsdale Community Group – The Gun at Ridsdale. Report statement read aloud. No questions.

 

  1. Friends of Corsenside. Report delivered by Christine Woodcock, who responded to a question about an upcoming event.

 

  1. Parish Council Finance. The clerk gave a summary report. No questions.

 

  1. Any other Business. The Chair thanked all those who contributed reports. A desire was expressed for a return to in person attendance. Ways to make this a valuable meeting opportunity for the various groups were discussed, to be actioned next year.
