Following Government Guidance on social distanceing, and the need to remain indoors to support the NHS and save lives, the |Waylander is no longer being distributed door to door.
However it is available on-line at www.waylandermagazine.org. So do look there for news.
02 April 2020Clap for Carers
Tonight at 8.00 pm, everybody is urged to stand on their doorstep, balcony, or an open window and once again show appreciation for the NHS and other carers who are constantly putting themselves at risk in their efforts to defeat the coronavirus.
You may not have joined in last week, perhaps because you thought that you are so remote that nobody would hear you, but you would be surprised! It was really emotional last time to pause for a second and hear the distant sound of somebody else clapping, proving that you were not alone..And how often do you get the chance to join with millions of others?
19 March 2020Future meetings
In view of the COVID19 virus, it may not be possible to hold meetings in public for some time.
Various measures are being explored to see whether "virtual" meetings wolod be possible, and legal, and if the Council is able to do this details will be announced on this website and the parish notice boards. Failing that the resumption of usual meetings in public will be similarly announced.
16 March 2020Tonight's Council Meeting Cancelled
In view of the escallating virus issue, the meeting scheduled and advertised for tonight, Monday 16 March, has been cancelled.
