Planning Applications
The Parish Council receives full details of all planning applications within the parish boundary that are submitted to Stratford District Council, and is invited to formally comment on these. The Council's Village Design Statement has been adopted as a material consideration in processing planning applications.
Residents own views are welcomed and, provided they are permissible, will be taken into account.
Any member of the public may view current planning applications and submit their own comments directly to Stratford District Council. Their planning portal website address is: http://apps.stratford.gov.uk/eplanning/ . Previous applications are also accesible at this site.
Recommendations made by the parish council are based on the impact that a development may have on both the local community and the local envirornment.
The parish council will always strive to retain the character of the village and its many listed buildings, and, unless there are powerful arguments to suggest otherwise, the parish council supports the policy which restricts any development of an existing dwelling to a limit of 30% on the existing volume.
