Cubert Parish Grass cutting contract 2025

The contract with the Parish Council is going out to tender.

Any tender needs to be made by sealed bid,   delivered to:

The bids need to be received by 18 March 2025,   and should be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked "sealed bid, grass contract".

The sealed bids will be opened on the night of the Parish Council meeting of 18th March 2025,   under "Confidential Matters".

Successful bidders,   not necessarily the lowest bidder,   will be informed of the decision the following day.

Payment for the contract will be made by the following formula:

Full annual cost,   divided by twelve paid monthly by cheque at the end of each month (Payments are authorised at each Parish Council meeting).  Bidders should be aware that the Parish Council is able to reclaim full VAT on             invoices,   so VAT addition to the contract will hold no consideration to the awarding of the contract.

Specifications

Bidders must have a minimum of £5,000,000 public liability cover.

There are to be fifteen cuts in the year,   with two exceptions (See below).

Chapel Green recreation area:   Playing field area either side of the tarmac footpath of Harry's Ope.

Cubert Cemetery (Wesley Road towards Crantock):   Grassed area to the right of the entrance path,   and the cemetery itself (left of the entrance path),   including between grave spaces.   Grass clippings to be collected in the cemetery area.

Cubert Church Graveyard:   Including between grave spaces.   Grass clippings to be collected in this area.

Cubert village square:   Thin strip alongside the parking area and vicarage (including vicarage windows) War Memorial area (grass clippings to be collected around War Memorial).

Cubert Village Hall:   Grass verges to front and back of hall.

Chynowen Parc:   Two grass verges either side of entrance to Chynowen Parc.

Wheal Golden Drive, Holywell:   Two grass verges either side of entrance to Wheal Golden.

Treguth Common:   Raised,   grassed area (with bench seat) to the right of Beach Road.   To be cut five times per year.

Cornwall Copiers:   Grass verge with "Cubert" sign to be mowed five times per year (date dependent on the present,   once only,   cut by Cornwall Council).

Cubert Toilets:    Grass area surrounding the toilet

 FOOTPATH 8. To be cut twice by request when needed at the time.
