Managing speeding traffic in Elsdon
The Parish Council has been working with Northumberland County Council (NCC) in an effort to reduce the speeding of many vehicles along the B6341 and in partcicular the section from the 30mph speed restriction to the Bird in Bush.
NCC has provided the attached possible suggestions and the following text

Please find attached drawings showing two proposed options to strengthen the 30mph gateway at the west of the village.
One option proposes relocating the start of the 30mph limit closer to the village so it makes more sense to motorists who will see houses at the same time. This is recommended as it visually reinforces the need for the speed limit.
The second option keeps the start of the existing 30mph speed limit but proposes additional road markings and count down bands on the road.
