Parish Council meetings

The next Parish Council meeting will be on Tuesday 27 September, 2022 at 7.00pm.  This will be held at Rochester Village Hall.

Should you wish to contribute to the meeting please contact the Parish Clerk at rochesterwithbyrnesspc@gmail.com.

The Agenda for the meeting can be found here or in the appropriate section of the 'Document Library' a few days before the meeting. 

Additionally a draft version of the minutes from the previous meeting are available to view within the 'Document Library'.

The Parish Council meet on the last Tuesday of every other month. Below are dates and locations for the next six meetings

15 September 2022HM Queen Elizabeth - book of condolences & service 15 September

1. Books of Condolence have been placed in Holy Trinity Church, Horsley and St Francis, Byrness to offer the sympathy of the people of Upper Redesdale to King Charles and the royal family on the sad death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.

The churches are open all the time and everyone is welcome to come and sign the Books of Condolence. These books will be open until the day after the funeral of Her Majesty. They will be forwarded to Buckingham Palace as a record in due course.


2. There will be a service of prayer and reflection at Byrness Village Hall at 5.30 pm on Thursday 15 September. This will be a short service (around 15 minutes) with prayers, readings, silence and a chance for reflection on the long reign of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth.
