16 May 2025Brighstone Holiday Centre

The Centre has put forward various planning options which have been objected to jointly by Brighstone & Shorwell Parish Councils.

In an attempt to provide further information, the Holiday Centre will attend the next Shorwell Parish Council meeting on Monday 2nd June. This will take the form of a presentation, followed by a question and answer session, and will be the first item on the agenda. It will be attended by representatives of Brighstone Parish Council, and other local residents who would like to learn more about this proposed development are also encouraged to come along.

Judging for this annual contest commences on 1st May.

Please do what you can to keep the village tidy and litter free, and to ensure that the notice boards are up to date.

The local residents on the attached list are elected as Parish Councillors on 1st May 2025.

13 March 2025Parish Council Elections 1st May

These are set to take place on 1st May.

There will be a vacancy on the Parish Council as Geoff Butler is standing down after 12 years service to Shorwell.

Anyone wishing to apply to become a parish councillor will need to complete the nomination forms contained in the attached information pack. If required, further information can be obtained from the Clerk.
