Proposed Temporary Road Closure – Pavenham Road, Felmersham
Bedford BC has a request for a temporary road closure at the above location to facilitate a new water connection. Details are listed in the schedule below.
The alternative routes for diverted traffic are as shown below and will be signed accordingly. The restrictions are to be in operation only when the necessary signs are erected on site. The Legal Order will be made to cover a four month period; however, it is anticipated that the closure will be in operation between 8.00am and 5.30pm from Monday 11th July 2016 to Wednesday 13th July 2016 – Specific dates will be advertised locally closer to the time.

Road: Pavenham Road, Felmersham.
Length Affected: Between The Slip, Felmersham, and a point approximately 250 metres south of The Slip, Felmersham.

Reason: To facilitate a new water connection.
Dates: The closure is anticipated to be in operation between 8.00am and 5.30pm from Monday 11th July 2016 to Wednesday 13th July 2016 – Specific dates will be advertised locally closer to the time – Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
Alternative Routes: Proceed in a southerly direction along Pavenham Road, Felmersham, and then Church Lane, Pavenham, to High Street, Pavenham. Turn left and continue along High Street, then Bedford Road and then Pavenham Road, Oakley, to Highfield Road, Oakley. Turn left and continue to the first roundabout. Take the 2nd exit and proceed onto the A6 northbound, then continue to Radwell Road, Milton Ernest. Turn left and continue to Grange Road, Felmersham. Turn left and continue to Pavenham Road, Felmersham. Turn left and continue to site.
The opposite alternative route is the reverse of the above until proceeding south along the A6. Exit the A6 via Bedford Road, Oakley, and continue to the roundabout adjoining Highfield Road. Take the 2nd exit and continue to the next roundabout. Take the 2nd exit and continue along Highfield Road to Pavenham Road, Oakley. Turn right and then follow the reverse of the above alternative route again to site.
