Bedford BC has issued the following information on bin collections and recycling over Christmas.

Bin collections over the Festive period

With Christmas just around the corner, make sure you check when your bins are due for collection.  Bin collections will be delayed due to the Christmas and New Year bank holidays, with normal collections resuming on Monday 15th January 2018.

Real Christmas Tree Recycling

If you are celebrating Christmas this year with a real Christmas Tree, did you know you can recycle it in the New Year?  Once the festivities are over and the decorations have been taken down, you can take your real Christmas tree to one of our collection points for recycling, between 30th December and 12th January. Click here for a list of locations where you can recycle your tree. 

 

Christmas opening at the Recycling Centre

If you are planning a trip to the Household Waste Recycling Centre on Barkers Lane over the festive period, please double check the opening hours below. 

The site closes at 1pm on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. 

Please  arrive 10 minutes before closing time to allow enough time to unload. 

Small amounts of commercial waste can now be taken to the Recycling Centre on Barkers Lane, please visit our webpage for further information.
