2007 Village of the Year Winner
Clapham won this year's Bedfordshire Village of the Year competition and the Parish Council would like to thank all the organisations and individuals whose hard work in the village so impressed the judges.  The village also won an additional award for Partnership Working and received prize money totalling £650, to be spent on a community project. After consultation it has been decided to spend the money on creating a parish map showing places of interest, significant buildings, footpaths etc.  The map will be displayed on notice boards, in the Village and Methodist Halls and in Riverside Gardens and the Millennium Park.

Clapham is now representing Bedfordshire in the regional competition and judging for this will take place on 17th April 2008.  We look forward to showing the judges why Clapham is a good place to live.
