Temporary One Way Prohibitions – Clapham Road, Bedford 07. & 08.04.15.
I have a request for temporary one way prohibitions at the above location to facilitate carriageway patching work. Details are listed in the schedule below and having assessed the application I am satisfied the request is justified.
The alternative routes for diverted traffic are as shown below and will be signed accordingly. The prohibitions are to be in operation only when the necessary signs are erected on site. The Legal Order will be made to cover a four month period; however, it is anticipated that the prohibitions will be in operation between 2330hrs and 0500hrs on 2 nights from Tuesday 7th April 2015 to the morning of Thursday 9th April 2015 – Specific dates will be advertised locally closer to the time.

Road: Clapham Road, Bedford.

Reason: To facilitate carriageway patching work.
Length Affected: Prohibits vehicles travelling northbound or southbound, as detailed below, between the roundabout adjoining Manton Lane and the roundabout adjoining Paula Radcliffe Way.
Dates: The northbound prohibition is anticipated to be in operation between 2330hrs Tuesday 7th April 2015 and 0500hrs Wednesday 8th April 2015, and the southbound prohibition is anticipated to be in operation between 2330hrs Wednesday 8th April 2015 and 0500hrs Thursday 9th April 2015 – Specific dates will be advertised locally closer to the time – Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
Alternative Routes: Proceed in a north-easterly direction along Manton Lane and then Brickhill Drive to Kimbolton Road (B660). Turn left and continue to the next roundabout. Take the 2nd exit and continue along the B660 to Thurleigh Road, Ravensden. Turn left and continue along Thurleigh Road and then Mill Road, Thurleigh, to Milton Road. Turn left and continue to Thurleigh Road, Sharnbrook. Turn right and continue to the roundabout adjoining the A6. Take the 1st exit and continue southbound along the A6 to site, and vice versa.
