The alternative routes for diverted vehicles have been amended. They are now as shown below and will be signed accordingly. The restriction is to be in operation only when the necessary signs are erected on site. The Legal Order will be made to cover a six month period; however, it is anticipated that the closure will be in operation 24 hours a day from Monday 3rd July 2017 to Friday 29th September 2017 – Specific dates will be advertised locally closer to the time.
Road: Pavenham Road, Oakley/Bedford Road, Pavenham.
Footway: Bedford Road, Pavenham.
Length Affected (Road): From the entrance to Willow Vale to the entrance to Stafford Farm.
Length Affected (Footway): The footway on the west side of Bedford Road, Pavenham, which extends in a north-westerly direction from Stafford Bridge to its end.

Alternative Routes for Vehicles: Proceed in a south-easterly direction along Pavenham Road, Oakley, to Highfield Road, Oakley. Turn left and continue to the first roundabout. Take the 2nd exit and follow the road round to join the A6 northbound, then continue to Radwell Road, Milton Ernest. Turn left and continue along Radwell Road and then Bridge End, Radwell. Bear left and continue along Felmersham Road, Radwell, then Radwell Road, Felmersham, and then The High Road, Felmersham, to Felmersham Bridge, Sharnbrook. Continue along Felmersham Bridge to Odell Road, Sharnbrook. Turn left and continue along Odell Road, Sharnbrook, and then High Street, Odell, to Odell Road, Odell. Turn left and continue along Odell Road, Odell, then Odell Road, Harrold, then Carlton Road, Harrold, then Bridgend, Carlton, and then Pavenham Road, Carlton, to High Street, Pavenham. Turn left and continue along High Street and then Bedford Road, Pavenham, to site.
The opposite alternative route is the reverse of the above until joining the A6 southbound. After joining the A6, continue to Bedford Road, Oakley, and then exit the A6. Continue along Bedford Road to the roundabout adjoining Highfield Road, Oakley. Take the 2nd exit and continue along Highfield Road to the next roundabout. Take the 2nd exit and continue along Highfield Road to Pavenham Road, Oakley. Turn right and continue to site.
The weight restriction on Radwell Road, Milton Ernest, will be temporarily revoked for the duration of this closure in order to aid traffic management.
Please Note: Due to the nature of the work it will not be possible for emergency service vehicles to go through this closure.
