Proposed Temporary Road Closures – Highbury Grove and Knights Avenue, Clapham
Bedford BC has a request for temporary road closures at the above locations to facilitate water mains renewal work. Details are listed in the schedule below.
The alternative routes for diverted traffic are as shown below and will be signed accordingly. The restrictions are to be in operation only when the necessary signs are erected on site. The Legal Order will be made to cover a six month period; however, it is anticipated that the closures will be in operation between 8.00am and 4.00pm from Monday 22nd May 2017 to Friday 15th September 2017 – Specific dates will be advertised locally closer to the time.
Roads: Highbury Grove and Knights Avenue, Clapham.
Length Affected – Closure 1 (Highbury Grove/Knights Avenue): From High Street (Service Road) to Mount Pleasant Road.
Length Affected – Closure 2 (Knights Avenue): From Mount Pleasant Road to outside number 31.
Please Note: These closures will not be in operation at the same time.

Dates: The closures are anticipated to be in between 8.00am and 4.00pm from Monday 22nd May 2017 to Friday 15th September 2017 – Specific dates will be advertised locally closer to the time – Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
Alternative Routes – Closure 1 (Highbury Grove/Knights Avenue): Proceed in a southerly direction along Highbury Grove to High Street. Turn right and continue to Mount Pleasant Road. Turn right and continue to site, and vice versa.
Alternative Routes – Closure 2 (Knights Avenue): Proceed in an easterly direction along Knights Avenue to Duke Drive. Turn left and continue to Knights Avenue. Turn left and continue to site, and vice versa.
