At the June Parish Meeting we agreed to seek designation for the pond, allotments and village green as valued and protected sites. Can you read the attached email and submit comments back to me by 23rd August for forwarding to Planning thanks for your help?
 

Dear Parish Council

Thank you for your Local Green Space submission.

Your sites have been included within our Issues and Options Consultation document which is now open to comments from the public up until 28th August. This will provide members of your community the opportunity to show their support for the sites. However, please do not rely on this alone. To support your proposal please can you submit evidence that shows that designation of the site is supported by the local community (for example, letters of support, petitions, minutes from public meeting etc)  and evidence of why the sites are valued (for example, evidence to show it is used for recreational uses, considered to be beautiful etc). This evidence should come from the community and will need to be up to date to show that the sites are still valued. Without this information it will be extremely difficult to justify that the site is demonstrably special to the local community and therefore worthy of designation.
